Still few details in local missing person's case

SULPHUR SPRINGS - Tuesday marks the seventh month since witnesses say they saw 33-year-old Melissa McVay Darling leaving Choctaw Casino in Grant, Oklahoma.

That was the last time she was seen.

Multiple tips into the Sulphur Springs woman’s disappearance have been reported to law enforcement, but to date little evidence has been gained. The Sulphur Springs News Telegram reports that the most recent development is that a tip led Lamar County authorities to search a location in the northern part of the county, but without results.

Foul play is suspected, according to investigator David Gilmore.

Hugo Police and Choctaw County deputies have also joined in the investigation. Gilmore says a Lamar County man remains a person of interest in Darling’s disappearance.

More information including a description of Darling can be found through the Texas Department of Public Safety's missing person's website. Click "open search filter" to find information on Darling.
