Jones pleads not guilty to burglary, trial date set

GREENVILLE - A life prison term could await a Tarrant County man, who was shot during a reportedly burglary at a Greenville apartment in 2011.

Taurs Dwight Jones pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault. A tentative trial date has been set for July 9.

Last March, officers responded to the scene in the 2000 block of Wesley Street, where they arrived to find Jones had been shot.
