Tuition hearings this week at A&M-Commerce

COMMERCE - Two public hearings are scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Texas A&M University-Commerce to address a proposed increase in designated tuition for the 2013 and 2014 academic year, with a third hearing set for Friday.

The range of increase being considered is $0 to $10 per semester credit hour each year.  The actual increase will be dependent upon Texas A&M System Board of Regents approval.

Texas A&M University-Commerce’s present designated tuition is $99.68 per semester credit hour, which ranks below the average of the designated tuition rates of the 37 public universities in Texas.

The first public meeting tomorrow begins at 3 p.m. from the Business Administration Building, Room 290, with the second taking place from the Metroplex center in Mesquite, Room 133, beginning at 6:15 p.m. The third and final meeting is Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m. from the Traditions Room of the Sam Rayburn Student Center.
