Trial forthcoming in case slowed by competency status

GREENVILLE - A Caddo Mills man who allegedly robbed an elderly man of donuts and then threatened to kill a police officer is in court Wednesday.

Michael Anthony Polk has been in custody for more than two years after previously being found incompetent to stand trial. He was returned to the Hunt County Jail from an East Texas hospital last summer after he was found to be competent.

A pretrial hearing is Wednesday, with the actual trial to begin April 9.
