The US Army Field Band of Washington DC will be hosting free public concerts in Northeast Texas Friday afternoon and Sunday.
The band’s premier show band, the Volunteers will perform classic rock and contemporary music as well as oldies and country at 2:30 Friday afternoon in the Hopkins County Civic Center Auditorium. Admission is free and the public is invited.
The Jazz Ambassadors, the official Big Band Jazz organization of the Field Band will perform Sunday afternoon at 3 in the new Music Building at Texas A&M University-Commerce. That program is also free and open to the public.
