GREENVILLE - New evidence has emerged in the 2007 unsolved Greenville murder of David Olivares, and indictments have been issued for a former Greenville and former Commerce resident.

Markus Ladane Stevenson and George Washington Sharper were already serving time in a state prison for armed robbery from five years ago. They’re now been transported to the Hunt County Jail.

The indictments allege Stevenson and Sharper murdered Olivares on or about June 29, 3007 while in the course of committing a burglary of a habitation or robbery.

Police responded to a call of shots fired at 3408  Hunderson Street and found the 32-year-old Olivares had been shot once in the upper right chest and had died as a result of his wound. Witnesses claimed Olivares was sitting in the living room and was shot from outside, through a glass door.
