What had been the home of one of Greenville’s elementary schools is being put up for sale.The Greenville ISD is taking bids on the former Travis Elementary school site at 3005 Division Street. The district will accept sealed bids until May 1, 2013, with a minimum bid of $70,000.
Travis Elementary School was consolidated with the Greenville 6th Grade Center at the start of the 2010-2011 school year after the elementary school building developed structural problems due to its age.
The district investigated remodeling the building, but the potential cost of such an effort was a factor in deciding to sell the property.
