In Cooper, some soggy bricks have the city fathers puzzled.
During this week's Delta County Commissioners meeting, Cooper mayor Scotty Stegall approached the commissioners looking for a solution to the problem of bricks caving in above the cisterns on the town square.
There are four cisterns located on the square – two which provided water to the former courthouse and two that provided fire protection. The city leases the square from the county.
There was no action taken until more research is done to find the blueprints that show the actual location of the cisterns.
The Commissioners will meet again on Feb. 25.
