Mystery bag of 'weed' found on Cooper town square

Can you be-leaf it? There's no telling what one might find on the sidewalks of rural Northeast Texas town squares.

A Cooper business owner found a small sandwich bag on the ground in the square in Cooper on Wednesday. Suspicious of its contents, the business owner called law enforcement.

Delta County sheriff's deputy Charles Herford reported to the scene and determined that the bag contained what appeared to be marijuana. Herford confiscated the bag.

So far, no one has called the sheriff's office to report the bag as missing.
