The Cooper ISD Board of Trustees met for a brief regular meeting just prior to the Homecoming parade last Monday evening at the central administration building.

The Board accepted the consent agenda and the $3,360 Houghton Mifflin donation which will be used towards the Elementary campus technology.

Superintendent Denicia Hohenberger announced the Faculty Fish Fry will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2 with Board members cooking and Enloe State Bank donating the fish and supplies.

She also provided the Board with a recap of the start of school activities with a PowerPoint slideshow of photos.

“We have gotten off to the good start,” said the Superintendent.

The Board agreed 6-0 to provide “one time stipend” to J.D. Stutler for his dedicated work on the historical project at the High School campus, spending “most of his summer and an extraordinary amount of time.”

Director of School Operations Doug Wicks reported the landscaping work for both of the campuses is almost completely finished.

The Board will meet again on Monday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m.
