Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville says the Farmers Market on east Lee Street in downtown Greenville returns Saturday morning.  It will be a "soft opening," with the official opening coming in May, but many items of local produce and other goods will be for sale.  Pud says the organizers of the Farmers Market insist that no item be sold that comes from farther away than 50 miles.  Also, a locally produced play, "Nanyehi: The Story of Nancy Ward" begins tonight (Thursday, April 14) and continues through Sunday, April 24 at the Texan Theater in downtown Greenville.
