Kombucha: 2,000 Year Old 'Elixir Of Health'

Velvete Womack, our wellness commentator and proprietor of the Fire and Ice Spa in Commerce, says kombucha is a fermented tea that was first brewed by the Chinese more than 2,000 years ago.  It has a "rich anecdotal history of health benefits like preventing and fighting cancer, arthritis and other degenerative diseases."  Kombucha can be brewed at home, or purchased as a commercial product.
