Bill Glover, the director of the Hopkins County Historical Society, describes the Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park, located a few blocks from downtown Sulphur Springs on East Houston Street. The 11-acre park is on land once occupied by a brick-making factory, and includes 11 historical buildings. Among them are a log school house, a blacksmith's shop and a chapel.
