Greenville veterinarian Dr. Karri McCreary, co-owner of the Greenville Animal Hospital, discusses the problem of "puppy mills," businesses that breed dogs without adequate regard for their well-being.  Dr. McCreary favors laws such as those recently passed in Illinoisthat make it difficult for puppy mills to sell dogs to pet stores.  She says if you're looking for a pure-bred dog, it's best to buy them from reputable breeders.
