Delta Roping Club will be continuing the cattle drive tradition in this year's Rodeo Parade on Thursday evening.

The 70th Annual Cooper Rodeo hosted by the Delta Roping Club arrives in town this week. The event begins with the parade on Thursday, July 5 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. The parade starts at the park, travels down Dallas Avenue and circles the Square in Cooper. It will include a cattle drive similar to last year.
Rodeo events will be held on Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7 starting at 8 p.m. at the rodeo arena in the City Park on Dallas Avenue.
J&J Rodeo Company is the stock contractor with UPRA, LRCA, CPRA, and WPRA sanctions. Admission is $10 per adult, children (12 years and under) are $5 each, and three years and under are free.
The event includes $7,500 added money.
Special nightly events include Grand Entry, Calf Scramble (10 years and under), and Boot Scramble (five years and under). As well as steer riding, mutton bustin’, and jr barrels will be a crowd-pleaser.
