Opioid Addiction Claimed More Than 1,300 Texas Lives Last Year

Texas A&M-Commerce associate professor of counseling Dr. LaVelle Hendricks reflects on the opioid crisis, which reportedly resulted in more than 1,300 Texas deaths in 2016.  And with the movement gaining momentum to decriminalize recreational use of marijuana, Dr. Hendricks says it's important to make treatment a requirement in such cases.
