Severe thunderstorms are expected across Texas on Saturday, but the areas of most concern lie west and south of the KETR listening area, according to the National Weather Service.
Late Friday night into the early hours of Saturday morning, strong thunder storms are expected to develop across much of Texas, with the greatest threat for severe storms forecast to occur in the counties immediately west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Large hail is the primary concern with these serve storms, the National Weather Service said. In DFW and counties to the east, strong to near-severe storms are forecast, with hail being the primary hazard with those storms, as well.
Through Saturday morning into the early afternoon hours, the risk for strong to severe storms will shift eastward and southward. The most likely areas for severe storms will be across the Brazos Valley where a potential for damaging winds and tornadoes will accompany storms near and south of a warm front, the National Weather Service said. Strong to near-severe storms are expected in other areas along and east of the I-35 corridor.
