City of Commerce applies for state grant to improve sidewalks downtown

The City of Commerce has applied for a state grant, which would provide funding for improving sidewalks in ther downtown area.

If awarded, the funding would provide an enormous boost for the city's recently adopted downtown plan.

The City of Commerce has adopted a master plan for the city's downtown, but many of the questions regarding the specifics of the plan remain to be answered. Commerce City Manager Howdy Lisenbee describes where the city is now regarding the plan, including the city's application for a state grant for sidewalk improvement that could be awarded as early as October.
