In Hunt County, Smooth Sailing for Election Day Voters

Jerrod Knight

According to election officials at the polling location inside the Westview United Methodist Church in Greenville, the "rush" associated with this year's presidential election was more prevalent during the early voting opportunities than during today's turnout.

The line for early voting did extend beyond the doorway at the Hunt County election office over the early voting period, but my sojourn to vote this morning was met with few other people.

It wasn't my intention to slack around until Election Day, but it turns out, I was able to get in and out in under 7 minutes using the electronic ballot. While our national radio coverage indicates long lines at the polls, the time spent voting is significantly less locally.
