McKinney PD Sergeant Charged in Wife's Stabbing

McKinney Police Sergeant Audrey Lee Palmer was charged Thursday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing his wife in their home after a date night. 
The 43 year old Palmer  is accused of stabbing his wife, Tut Palmer, in the stomach following an argument stemming from a phone call, allegedly from another woman. 

Palmer, a 21-year veteran of the McKinney PD posted his $50,000 bond Thursday night and was released from Collin County Jail.

McKinney police spokeswoman Sgt. Ana Shelley, told the Dallas Morning News that the investigation "will be handled thoroughly by our department." 

Police did not comment on Tut Palmer’s condition.
