Commerce Mayor Wyman Williams says the City Council has approved a zoning change from agricultural to residential for 66 acres allowing Bloomfield Homes of Southlake to build a housing development. The property is south and east of the Commerce Elementary School and Centennial Park. Eventually, plans call for 286 homes to be built at an average price of $330,000. The mayor also discusses plans for an $800,000 renovation of the Commerce Public Library.
