Commerce Mayor Wyman William says the Commerce City Council has canceled the elections for mayor and one place on the City Council set for May 7 because only one candidate registered for each office.

That means Teddy Reel will be the next mayor or Commerce and Jim Ayres will take his place on the council. Mayor Williams has decided to not run again for re-election.
