  • Hunt Regional Healthcare officials are uncertain what staffing resources Hunt Regional Medical Center, the regional hospital in Greenville, will have in November. State-supplied nurses and other staff will be available to work through the end of October. Hunt Regional CEO Richard Carter said that should Hunt Regional lose those workers, the staffing situation at the hospital would be “critical.” Carter also said Hunt Regional is asking the staff be allowed to continue working at Hunt Regional Medical Center into November. Staffing shortages at the hospital ould also decrease the likelihood of the Commerce emergency center re-opening. The Commerce ER, which is operated by Hunt Regional healthcare, has been closed since staff from Commerce were reassigned to the hospital in Greenville on Aug. 6.
