Lion men ousted by Midwestern State

Texas A&M University-Commerce

The Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball team lost 95-82 Wednesday night at the Allen Events Center in Allen.

The loss bumped the Lions out of the 2013 Lone Star Conference tournament.

The Lions stayed close to Midwestern State with a strong first half, which ended with the Mustangs ahead by a modest 45-41 margin.

A&M-Commerce entered the game with the eighth and final seed in the tournament, while Midwestern State came into the contest ranked first in the Lone Star Conference.

The loss ended the Lions' season and left the team with a 14-15 overall mark. Midwestern State moves to 20-7 and will play 8:30 p.m. Friday at 8:30 against the winner of Thursday's game between Texas A&M-Kingsville and Incarnate Word.
