Dallas Wings Overcome the Seattle Storm (Slideshow)

The Dallas Wings (3-3) defeated the Seattle Storm (5-2), 94-90, as they hosted their secondhome game of the season on Saturday.

Dallas started out offensivelyaggressive, lead by guard Skylar Diggins-Smith. She scored 14 of the Wings’ 34 first quarter points. Diggins-Smith finished the first half perfect from the floor 8-8 with 20 points and a 53-36 lead at halftime. Seattle dominatedthe 3rd quarter,scoring 26 points and55.6% from the field, limiting Dallas to just 11 points. Liz Cambage had a fourth quarter burst of 17 points to upset Seattle, who came in on a five-game win streak.

 

 

Storm forward Breanna Stewart led with a game-high 28 points and 7 rebounds.

The Wings now look ahead to their upcoming road game against rookieKelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever (0-5).
