Investigators continue to work unsolved murder

By Brad Kellar

Hunt County – Now five years and counting, and still very few clues have surfaced into the deaths of Brandon Howell and Cora McAbee in Hunt County.

The two were found dead on May 25, 2006 inside the home of McAbee, along CR 2174 south of Greenville. The couple was believed to have been shot as they slept.

Hunt County Sheriff Rand Meeks says an individual has come forward with new information concerning the killings, which he hopes might finally lead to an arrest.

The current reward offered by the families of the victims has reached $10,100. Hunt County Crime Stoppers is also offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. They can be reached at 903-457-2929. You can remain anonymous.
