Commerce – Full audio from Tuesday's University Community Update at Texas A&M University-Commerce is now available on our website via www.ketr.org/podcasts.

A&M-Commerce President Dan Jones, Interim Provost Gary Peer, and Associate Dean of Students Brian Nichols addressed faculty, staff and students Tuesday regarding an assortment of projects pertinent to the university community.

Topics included a number of outreach initiatives being explored throughout the region, a rundown on the Texas Legislative session and its impact on A&M-Commerce, plus future changes to residential living and learning at the university.

The community update also included discussion of an upcoming student referendum that if passed, would increase the International Education/Study Abroad fee. Officials are seeking an increase from $1 per semester per student, to $4 per semester per student. The additional funds would help go toward study abroad scholarships.
