Rabid skunk found in Greenville

By Scott Harvey

Greenville – The City of Greenville is urging caution among residents following a confirmed case of a rabid skunk in the city.

The animal was found in the 5700 Block of Trinity on Tuesday. It was shipped for testing, coming back positive for rabies. This is the second such case of rabies in Hunt County this year, and the first in Greenville.

Citizens living in the area are being advised to have their animals vaccinated, restrain your pets from roaming free and avoid contact with wild animals.
