Hunt County – A New Jersey man is charged with money laundering for transporting thousands of dollars through Hunt County.
Charles Greenridge has filed a motion seeking a reduction in his $65,000 bond, the appointment of an attorney, or both. A hearing is set for Wednesday in Hunt County.
Greenridge was arrested on August 11 following a routine traffic stop along Interstate 30 near Royse City. While conducting a search of the vehicle, a K-9 Officer alerted on a cell phone box inside a backpack where $24,000 in wrapped bills was found.
Greenridge, who was unemployed at the time, was also found with $16,000 on his person.
