Commerce – KETR will host a Candidates Forum for those who have filed for the Commerce City Council and School Board on Wednesday.
News Director Scott Harvey will serve as mediator.
The event will be broadcast live from the CISD Administration Building at 3315 Washington St. You can become a part of the forum and ask your question during the event, or submit your question at ketr.org at the top of the home page, and may we use it on the air.
The event gets underway Wednesday evening, April 27 at 6 p.m. You're encouraged to show by 5:45 p.m.
Beginning in May, Place 4 Incumbent Ted Oats will undertake his second term on the Board, while Place 5 Incumbent Willie Blow sets out for his 12th year with the district. Both are unopposed.
For the Commerce City Council, Place 1 Incumbent Tony Henry will not be seeking another term, leaving either Chris Hall or former councilman John Sands to fill the vacancy come May. Both Hall and Sands were the only citizens to file for the position.
For Place 3, Incumbent Richard Hill faces opposition from Michael Odom and Ray Hunter.
Early voting for the May 14 election begins May 2.
