Greenville – Separate accidents this week involving two area teenagers leave one dead and another hospitalized.
17-year-old Tawniee Gilcrest, of Greenville, was the victim of a one vehicle accident Tuesday when she was ejected from the passenger's seat of what police say was a vehicle traveling above the posted rate of speed. Gilcrest was pronounced dead at Parkland Hospital. The car left the roadway and eventually struck a house.
On Wednesday, 19-year-old Jordan Jaco of Campbell was transported to a Dallas hospital after the truck she was driving wrecked along the service road of Interstate 30 in Greenville. Jaco had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was last known to be in good condition.
