Greenville – A Commerce teenager is ordered to serve ten years behind bars time after pleading guilty to a burglary, vehicle theft and chase from a year ago.
Sabien Zane Tatum was also indicted in February on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a public servant.
Tatum was 16 when authorities say he broke into a Hunt County residence and stole multiple items in June 2010. He was also alleged to have stolen a pickup truck from the same location and then fled using a vehicle from the Hunt County Sheriff's Office.
The aggravated assault indictments allege the teen used the vehicle to threaten an assault on two deputies. But those charges were dismissed since Tatum was not certified to stand trial as an adult prior to the indictments being filed.
