Cooper – In a recent special meeting, the commissioners court adopted a tax rate of 74 cents per $100 valuation, as well as a road and bridge tax rate of 18 cents.
Judge Herb Brookshire also appointed Jack Kiley of Pecan Gap as the new Emergency Management Coordinator after the resignation of Joe Martello. Kiley official takes over the job Sept. 17.
On Monday, the Cooper City Council approved the 2011-2012 tax rate at $1.01 for each $100 of taxable property value.
