Davila-Rodriguez now awaits February trial

GREENVILLE - Trial has been postponed for a Mexican national, alleged to have fired upon Greenville Police last summer, due to a lack of prospective jurors.

Francisco Javier Davila-Rodriguez will now wait until February before his case is presented before a panel.

He's charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a public servant. Davila-Rodriguez is also charged with one count of deadly conduct for allegedly firing upon a Greenville residence and also reportedly shot a man the same day. He's pleaded not guilty.

On Monday, officials were unable to indentify enough people to serve on the jury during the selection process.
