A house-burglary call led to to an arrest of a man in possession of a stolen car and other items.

On Jan. 14, officers responded to a report from the 1400 block of Caddo St. While on that call, a tip led police to investigate a vehicle in the parking lot of a nearby McDonald's. Officers found in the vehicle a man operating an iPad that was identified as having come from the house on Caddo St. that had been robbed, officials said. The car contained other items reported missing from the house, police said.

Officers arrested Quincy Lamont Terrell, 19, of Commerce. During questioning, Terrell confessed to burglarizing several vehicles at Churchill Apartments, police said. Terrell told detectives he took a car from the Churchill Apartments parking lot, drove it to Dallas, wrecked it and abandoned it, officials said. The car Terrell was driving on Jan. 14 was identified as a vehicle reported stolen from an apartment complex in Grand Prairie.

Terrell is in the Hunt County Jail on theft charges with a $75,000 bond, police said. Terrell will likely face more charges from Commerce and Grand Prairie police, officials said.
