Space Needle still surprises in Seattle

Mary Clark Traveler Blog (http://thetravelinggene.blogspot.com)
Seattle vista, seen from atop the iconic Space Needle tower.

At 52 years old, the Space Needle landmark still looks great for its age, and still thrills visitors on a  daily basis.

Mary Clark first ascended the Seattle icon as a young lady 1963, and rediscovered the tower's charm upon returning almost 50 years later.

Mary Clark Traveler is heard Tuesday mornings at 7:20 during Morning Edition on KETR.

Mary Walker Clark is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston Law School. She practiced law in Paris, Texas for 29 years before retiring to pursue her lifelong passion for traveling. Besides writing a travel column for the Paris News, Mary maintains her travel blog, MaryClarkTraveler.com, and spends hours planning the next trip.
