Lengthy drug investigation leads to arrest

GREENVILLE - The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of a major drug dealer.

Monday’s arrest of Mickey Trent Reed Jr. followed a yearlong investigation, according to Sheriff Randy Meeks.

Reed, who listed addresses in Greenville and Lone Oak, has been charged with six different criminal offenses. They include manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, evading arrest detention and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The sheriff says they confiscated more than 150 grams of meth from Reed.

The Hunt County Sheriff’s Narcotics Division was assisted in the case by both the Greenville and Commerce Police Department Narcotics Divisions.
