Lamar County theft suspect convicted in seperate case

TARRANT COUNTY - A Dallas-area man who faces charges locally is sentenced in Tarrant County to 80 years for buying a movie ticket and theater snacks with fake money.

Charles Nowden, of Cedar Hill, was arrested after using the bogus $20 bill. Cops then found another $120 in fake money in his hot dog wrapper.

In July, Nowden and another man were arrested for allegedly burglarizing a Paris business. The crime at Paris Farm and Ranch involved the theft of several zero turn radius mowers, valued at between $20,000 and $100,000, which were later found.

Charles Nowden, along with Billy Nowden, were each indicted on the theft of property charge in August by the Lamar County Grand Jury.
