Three soldiers from Fort Hood have been killed in Afghanistan. Kurt Kern of McAllen, Texas, Justin Whitmire of South Carolina, and Noah Korte of California died Tuesday when an improvised explosive device detonated, according to the Defense Department. Kern and Korte were both military police deployed overseas earlier this month.
