Saturday evening bodies were discovered one mile east of the Sherman City limits on Hwy 11 behind a barn.

The bodies are believed to be three missing Fannin County residents connected to a homicide investigation involving 52-year-old Thomas Taunton of Fannin County.  Authorities in Fannin County are alleging Taunton killed Harold and Sue Harpst along with their daughter.  The three have been missing since last week.  Multiple reports say that Taunton is the couple’s son.

According to Fannin County Sheriff Donnie Foster at this time, officials are unable to confirm the identity of the bodies pending autopsy.
