Tornado count hits 14

FORT WORTH - The National Weather Service has added to its number of confirmed tornadoes to strike the region as they continue to survey the damage. 

As of Friday morning, the agency said 14 tornadoes had in fact developed. 

The strongest tornado, and EF3, covered a total of eight miles and hit the town of Forney. An EF2 also caused damage in Royse City and south Hunt County. Multiple EF0’s resulted in minor damage about six miles south of Greenville, four miles south of Cumby, two miles south of Sulphur Springs and six miles northwest of Winnsboro.
