Candid Camera Burglar Caught

One of two suspects who were captured on camera last week robbing a residence north of Greenville was involved in a high-speed chase on Tuesday evening that ended with his arrest.

34-year-old Shaun Michael Funderburk was in custody on Wednesday at the Hunt County Jail, facing multiple charges in connection with the pursuit and the April 4th burglary. Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks expects to find the other suspect by the end of the week.

Funderbunk was driving a blue Nissan pickup when Greenville police officers J. Meeks and J. Bass attempted a traffic stop in the 5100 block of Wesley Street around 5:45 pm Tuesday. Funderbunk struck a black vehicle and evaded the officers, then was later spotted by two Hunt County Deputies in the 5500 block of Kayway.

Funderbunk exited the vehicle, fled on foot, and broke into a residence on Rabb Street before being arrested by the deputies. Funderbunk was charged with evading arrest/detention using a motor vehicle, failure to stop and render aid, criminal trespass of a habitation and criminal mischief.
