COLLEGE STATION - In a split vote of 6 to 3 Friday, the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents approved all tuition fee increases requested by several of the system’s universities, The Eagle reports.
That includes a $10 bump per semester credit hour at Texas A&M University-Commerce, one of the fastest growing universities in the System, which eclipsed 11,000 students for the first time in school history last fall.
The tuition increase brings the total to $109.68 and will take effect for the fall 2012 semester.
Friday’s vote included a decision to keep tuition flat at the flagship College Station campus. Its president, R. Bowen Loftin, did not ask for a designated tuition increase the day before.
