Local observance planned for fallen officers

Ceremonies are planned this week to honor officers killed in the line of duty as part of National Police Week.

In its history, Texas has had more law enforcement fatalities than any other state at more than 1,700.

Greenville’s Fletcher Warren Civic Center will host a ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday to honor the 11 officers who’ve died while working in Hunt County.
