High-speed chase leads to recovery of stolen property

QUINLAN - A high-speed chase that ended near Quinlan Thursday led to the arrest of Randy Choate, 29, of Quinlan and recovery of stolen property from multiple burglaries.

According to reports from the Quinlan-Tawakoni News, the chase began around noon after officers for the Quinlan Police Department attempted to stop the vehicle Choate was driving.  Choate refused to stop and lead officers down several city streets turning onto Hwy 34 and then onto county road 3602. 

The chase finally ended southeast of Quinlan in the E-Z Living subdivision off of Hwy 751, when the vehicle crashed into trees.  Choate was apprehended while attempting to flee into nearby woods.  The Quinlan Police Department were aided in the chase by the West Tawakoni police department and Hunt County ConstableKent Layton.

Stolen credit cards along with stolen property from seven residences were recovered from the vehicle.
