Mosquito spraying scheduled in Ladonia

LADONIA - The City of Ladonia is informing citizens that Noble Resources Pest Control will be spraying in town for mosquitoes on Monday night, from approximately 11 pm to 1 am.

They’re advising residents to stay indoors during the spraying and for 20 to 30 minutes afterward. According to the city, the fine mist spray kills only those mosquitoes it comes into contact with and does not have residual effects on surfaces.

Spraying will occur again on Thursday, July 12 at approximately the same time. Mosquitoes have a 10 to 14 day life-cycle.

Anyone with questions can contact Ladonia City Hall for more information at 903-367-7011.

The Texas Department of State Health Services reports that so far in 2012 there have been 95 cases of West Nile virus detected in mosquitoes (103 total) in 11 counties, including Dallas and Collin.
