A Community Mourning and Awareness Walk is scheduled for Saturday at 12 PM at Graham Park.

A memorial walk is scheduled Saturday and a memorial fund has been established to assist the family of Alicia Moore. Multiple rewards are also being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Moore’s murderer. Moore disappeared one week ago today after stepping off of a school bus about a half a block from her residence in Greenville.

Her body was found Tuesday along FM 47 in Van Zandt County. The Greenville Police Department has joined with multiple other agencies in conducting a homicide investigation in the case. No new developments concerning the investigation had been made public and funeral services for Moore remain pending as of Thursday evening. A community Mourning and Awareness walk from Graham Park to the intersection of Bourland and Walnut streets, where Moore exited the bus, is scheduled noon Saturday. Organizers are asking those participating in the to wear purple, Moore’s favorite color, if possible.
