Funeral arrangements set for Kaufman DA, wife

Funeral arrangements have been made for Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife, Cynthia.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunnyvale Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Wortham located at 300 S. Wortham Street in Wortham.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Wortham.

The McLellands were found shot in their home in Forney on March 30. An investigation is ongoing.

Daniel was born and raised in Commerce, TX, and has been a life-long listener of 88.9 KETR. After listening to ‘The Art of Sound’ with Mark Chapman as a child, he enjoyed the thought of being able to broadcast across NE Texas. He is now a Radio/Television student at Texas A&M University-Commerce and hopes to continue his work in radio after he graduates. He has been heard in the past as the host of ‘All Things Considered’, ‘Movie Picks with Alice Reese’ and ‘The Morning Bell’.
