City council election filing to begin

Filing begins this week for two seats on the Greenville City Council, which will be decided during this year’s municipal election.

Council places 3 and 4 will be on the ballot for the May 10 election. Filing for the election begins Wednesday and continues through February 25 at the City of Greenville Municipal Building, 2821 Washington Street.

 Jeff Dailey currently serves in Place 3, and Mayor Pro-Tem Velma Del Bosque-Hobdy serves in Place 4. Both are eligible to seek re-election to the council.

 No one has announced their intentions to run in the election.

 April 10 is the final day to register to vote for the election. Early voting is scheduled between April 28 and May 6.
