Most rain, coolest temps expected Thursday

A change in the weather will blow into Texas on Monday evening, though the much-anticipated cool front won't be here until later this week.

Chances for rain begin late this afternoon and will continue throughout the week. Current forecasts predict Tuesday afternoon high temperatures around 90 and Wednesday afternoon highs around 85.

Thursday should be the coolest day this week, with highs expected around 80. On Friday, high temperatures are forecast in the mid 80s. Northeast Texas is expected to receive between 2"-3" of rain on Thursday, with areas south of a Mesquite-Texarakana line forecast to receive 1"-2" of rain on Thursday.
